  • Subaru Share the Love Event 2017

Each year, Muscatell Subaru chooses a local charity to join the group of five charities highlighted during the Subaru Share the Love Event at year-end. This year Muscatell Subaru chose the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley.

The way it works is for every new Subaru purchased or leased over the holidays, the buyer gets to choose from among five charities to receive $200. This year's choices were the Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, Make-a-Wish, ASPCA, & the National Park Foundation.

2017 we presented a check to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in the amount of $19,109 at the new Subaru dealership.

With the recent approval to purchase another RMHC house, I thought your new team would like to spotlight them for the work they do.

Thanks & have a great day!

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    The New York Kammermusiker

    12th Anniversary North Dakota

    Winds of Change Concert Tour

Fargo, ND - May 25, 2018 - The New York Kammermusiker, a small, double-reed chamber music ensemble that performs classical music, is returning to North Dakota to celebrate their twelfth annual concert tour of the state. The group will perform concerts on both sides of the Red River for this anniversary tour.

The New York Kammermusiker is a unique chamber ensemble that travels the world presenting a wide range of double-reed music, from the Renaissance era through Contemporary periods. This group is known for their experimental and improvisatory performances - often performing music written for their own unique sound - and for the excellence of their performances, regardless of what particular music is on the program.

Formed in 1969 by ND native, Ilonna Pederson, this non-profit organization seeks to reintroduce the instruments and the music of the double-reed band to modern audiences. The group prepares modern scores from long-neglected musical manuscripts they seek out in their travels in order to bring the music of the medieval shawm bands to modern listeners. The sound is full and resonant, as if a much larger group were playing. The ensemble offers flawless performances in a lively, interactive manner, giving historical and cultural context to the music that is both educational and entertaining. The music and its history come alive.

The New York Kammermusiker draws from some of the world's finest musicians for their performances. Members have included musicians from the New York Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Munich Bach Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, and the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra. The music has rhythmic and harmonic unity achieved through the expert musicianship of the players, which distinguishes this group, elevates the music, and moves audiences who experience their performances. The musicians for this tour will include a contrabassoonist, who will bring a unique, very low-pitched bass sound to the ensemble. For music lovers who wish to experience something new and different, done well and with great skill, they could hardly do better than to spend an evening with The New York Kammermusiker.

The program for the 12th Annual tour will include Norwegian and other Scandinavian music, as well as music by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart and more. Included will be a special presentation of music and theatre celebrating North Dakota, featuring music dedicated to Theodore Roosevelt with narration by actor, Bjorn Pederson, whose recent appearances include the Metropolitan Opera, Shakespeare OP, the Hudson Shakespeare Company, the 13th Street Repertory Theatre (NY), and the Midtown International Theatre Festival (NY).
