Muscatell Subaru Brings an Extraordinary Experience to Local Charities and Organizations

  • Subaru Share the Love Event 2016

Each year, Muscatell Subaru chooses a local charity to join the group of five charities highlighted during the Subaru Share the Love Event at year-end. This year Muscatell Subaru chose the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley.

The way it works is for every new Subaru purchased or leased over the holidays, the buyer gets to choose from among five charities to receive $200. This year's choices were the Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, Make-a-Wish, ASPCA, & the National Park Foundation.

Today, at 2:00pm, we will be presenting a check to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in the amount of $22,258.78 at the new Subaru dealership.

With the recent approval to purchase another RMHC house, I thought your new team would like to spotlight them for the work they do.

Thanks & have a great day!

    The New York Kammermusiker
    11th Anniversary North Dakota
    Winds of Change Concert Tour

Fargo, ND - May 1, 2017 - The New York Kammermusiker, a small double-reed chamber music ensemble that performs classical music, is returning to North Dakota to celebrate their eleventh annual concert tour of the state. The group will perform concerts on both sides of the Red River for this anniversary tour, beginning in Moorhead, MN, where they will perform on June 24th, as part of the 40th Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival. The tour will include performances in several North Dakota cities to honor the restoration of their historic opera houses, the Grand Forks County Historical Society, Ecce Gallery in Fargo, as well as performances in the Wahpeton area, including a return to the Chahinkapa Zoo.
The New York Kammermusiker is a unique chamber ensemble that travels the world presenting a wide range of double-reed music, from the Renaissance era through Contemporary periods. This group is known for their experimental and improvisatory performances - often performing music written for their own unique sound - and for the excellence of their performances, regardless of what particular music is on the program.
Formed in 1969 by ND native, Ilonna Pederson, this non-profit organization seeks to reintroduce the instruments and the music of the double-reed band to modern audiences. The group prepares modern scores from long-neglected musical manuscripts they seek out in their travels in order to bring the music of the medieval shawm bands to modern listeners. The sound is full and resonant, as if a much larger group were playing. The ensemble offers flawless performances in a lively, interactive manner, giving historical and cultural context to the music that is both educational and entertaining. The music and its history come alive.

  • Subaru Loves to Care

    Muscatell Subaru, Essentia Health, LLS

Customers who visited Muscatell Subaru the month of June helped spread the love with messages of hope to cancer patients.

Ruby Miller-Lyman our local Ambassador for LLC was at Essentia Cancer Center in Fargo to accept the Messages and Blankets to be given to local cancer patients in the Fargo Moorhead community.

    The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is working to someday cure blood cancers, and through their research, they are hoping to make someday, today.

Together, LLS and Subaru will spread hope, love, and warmth to cancer patients through small gestures of hope. LLS and Subaru will donate over 30,000 blankets and messages of hope, written by Subaru customers, to patients across the country.

Fargo/Moorhead, MN (June 2016) - Subaru of America and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) have joined forces to provide much needed support and warmth to patients fighting cancer in the Fargo/Moorhead community and across the country.

On Wednesday, June 29 at 1:30 p.m., Ruby Miller Lyman, LLS Ambassador from Fargo, will accept 60 blankets on behalf of cancer patients currently being treated at Essentia Health.

Ruby was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in 2010. Now, thanks to LLS-funded research that has led to advances in cancer treatments, Ruby manages her CLL with a daily pill and a shot every six months.

However, Ruby's diagnosis is not how she got connected with LLS. "I've always been very involved in my community," said Ruby, "and people would comment on my strong faith." Soon, Ruby was asked to join a volunteer led prayer group that took place at the Light The Night Walk in her neighborhood. "After the walk, we would all gather together and we would pray and laugh and cry - it was wonderful healing."

Now in her 80s, Ruby has slowed down a bit but she is still very active in her community and volunteers whenever she can. "To find that cure for cancer, I'll do anything to help. That's why I continue to volunteer."

Ruby said she feels so blessed. Not only is she celebrating life and her health but on June 27, she and her husband will celebrate their 24-year wedding anniversary.

During the Subaru Loves to Care month happening now through the end of June, visitors of Muscatell Subaru will be given the chance to write a personalized message of hope on a card that will be delivered alongside the blankets to patients undergoing cancer treatment at Essentia Health. Those who write a message of hope will receive a special bracelet to help spread awareness of LLS and Muscatell Subaru's goal to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time.

By the end of June, close to 400 Subaru retailers will have donated more than 30,000 blankets along with thousands of messages of hope to patients fighting cancer across the country.

"Through our Subaru Love Promise we aim to make the world a better place and our owners care deeply about giving back in their local communities," said Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing at Subaru of America. "We are proud to team up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help provide care and support to patients battling cancer and their families."

LLS president and CEO, Dr. Louis J. DeGennaro says, "This initiative with Subaru is a perfect fit for LLS. Through our network of 56 chapters and Subaru's presence in communities across the country, together, we are reaching and supporting even more patients, families and caregivers in their time of need. Through this initiative to raise awareness for the urgent need to find cancer cures and ensure patients have access to lifesaving treatments, Subaru is helping us make someday, today, for blood cancer patients."

Visit to learn more about LLS's mission and impact, and how to help Subaru and LLS make someday, today for blood cancer patients.
